Full line up of sustainable food & consumer packaging will be on display at Pack Expo Las Vegas, Las Vegas Convention Center, booth # SL-19055 at the Materials & Containers Pavillion
Las Vegas, September 18th, 2025 – Serving the foodservice sector and demand for thermoformed trays and containers, APP Group will feature its Foopak Anchor Bio paperboard at Pack Expo Las Vegas. Sold via Charta Global, APP Group’s exclusive sales channel in the US and LATAM, Anchor Bio is part of APP’s Foopak flagship brand of sustainable, curb-side recyclable, food packaging products. Specifically designed as a sustainable solution for the ready-meal and frozen food market, the paperboard is both a PE-free and can be thermoformed or die cut for folding cartons into food trays and boxes and conveniently go from cold case or freezer directly to a microwave or conventional oven up to 347 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius and it can be microwaved on high for up to 2 minutes.
Utilizing a high-bulk, high yield base paper board, Foopak Anchor Bio incorporates APP’s proprietary aqueous dispersion technology as a sustainable alternative to Polyethylene (PE) and Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) packaging materials commonly used in frozen food ready-to-eat meals. The innovative paperboard product directly addresses the escalating plastic pollution crisis. According to Fortune Business Insights, approximately 65% of all plastics being used for the food packaging sector, which is forecasted to grow by CAGR 9% between 2023 and 2030.
Also on display will be Sinar Terra Lite BC, a new sustainable URB paperboard that combines 100% PCW recycled kraft based paper with a PE-free aqueous base coating, creating a truly sustainable solution for direct food contact packaging.
In addition, featured at the expo will be its full suite of food packaging solutions including its award- winning recyclable and compostable Foopak Bio Natura for hot/cold cups, bowls, folding cartons, trays, plates and cutlery as well as flexible Foopak grades for direct food contact.
